One of Riyad Bank’s most impact community initiatives over the past couple of years has been our summer club activity, which aims to provide disabled people with an ability to get involved in sports and other exercises as part of their integration into society. This year, Riyad Bank partnered with the Disabled Children’s Association to launch a special needs summer club for disabled children in Baha. Thirty six children and adults with special needs took part in the club’s activities over the course of a month.
Riyad Bank was a key sponsor of this year’s Qatif Festival in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region. The event, which is in its fifth year and which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness and Governor of the Eastern Region Prince Saud Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, began on the second day of Eid and continued for ten days. Organized by Qatif’s Committee for Social Development, this year’s edition of the Qatif Festival was named “Our Oasis, Our Joy”.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to provide transportation to charities, Riyad Bank has donated two buses to the Savannah Association for Health Services in Hail. The buses are designed specifically for use by disabled passengers, to help Savannah Association transport its patients from location to another in comfort.
As part of its corporate social responsibility outreach initiatives, Riyad Bank staff aimed to give hospitalized children this Eid Al-Fitr holiday cheer. Employee volunteers from Riyad Bank visited children’s wards in various cities and regions throughout the Kingdom to meet and spend time with the children and distribute gifts to them.
Riyad Bank rolled out its Ramadan Caravan again this year as part of its promise to provide support to needy families during the holiest month of the year. Now in its sixth year and operated by volunteers from the Bank, the Ramadan Caravan has become an annual tradition across the Kingdom both for families who need food aid as well as Riyad Bank’s aim to become part of the communities it serves.
