<p>Riyad Bank was a key sponsor of this year’s Qatif Festival in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region. The event, which is in its fifth year and which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness and Governor of the Eastern Region Prince Saud Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, began on the second day of Eid and continued for ten days. Organized by Qatif’s Committee for Social Development, this year’s edition of the Qatif Festival was named “Our Oasis, Our Joy”.</p><p>In line with its commitment to support local community activities, Riyad Bank approached Qatif’s Committee for Social Development to sponsor the event and promote the festival, which is a major part of the area’s efforts to promote its culture, heritage and tourism within the Kingdom.</p><p>Held on Qatif’s Corniche, the event highlights and displays many local crafts and past times common to the area and its heritage including pearl diving, fishing and agriculture. In addition, the Qatif Festival is a major draw for visitors looking for traditional entertainment; the event features art shows, theatrical displays, cultural competitions, and photography galleries.</p> ,p&gt;As part of its participation in the Qatif Festival, Riyad Bank set up a booth on the Corniche to advise and inform festival-goers about the Bank’s financial services and solutions. “We’re always eager to get involved in the Qatif Festival as it is one of the most important events on the calendar in the Eastern Province,” said Abdulhadi Abdulraheem, Riyad Bank’s Manager for Qatif and Jubail. “Riyad Bank aims to be a partner in social events such as the Qatif Festival, which aim to promote the country’s rich culture and heritage.”
