The Autism Research Center at King Faisal Specialist Hospital continues to train and rehabilitate the medical staff, teachers, and families on the latest ways of dealing with autism. The center also conducts scientific research that helps to diagnose autism early.
<p>The Autism Research Center at King Faisal Specialist Hospital continues to train and rehabilitate the medical staff, teachers, and families on the latest ways of dealing with autism. The center also conducts scientific research that helps to diagnose autism early.</p><p>During the last seven months, 59 cases have been diagnosed, 77 families have been trained through 1,650 sessions, in addition to training 419 specialists, teachers and trainees on the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods. Moreover, 27 workshops and 13 scientific studies have been held to reach a more accurate and in-depth understanding of the causes of autism and to develop ways of early diagnosis in cooperation with various local, regional and global centers.</p><p>The bank’s support targets the entire operations of the center including its studies, requirements and operational budget in order to improve the center’s outcomes and expand the scope of beneficiaries. This three-year support is part of the bank's mission to serve the community and support people with special needs who are an essential component of the community.</p>
