Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Askar is the Chief Risk Officer at Riyad Bank since 2023. With over twenty five years of extensive experience in the banking industry, he brings profound expertise in corporate credit management, risk management, and credit assessment and approvals.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Al-Askar has held several key leadership positions at Riyad Bank. These include Executive Vice President – Head of Enterprise Risk Management, Executive Vice President – Head of Corporate Credit and Head of Credit Assessment and Approvals. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the bank’s risk management and credit strategies.

Abdulaziz is currently a member on several senior management committees at the Bank and other entities such as Board member of Saudi Credit Bureau Co. (SIMAH) and a member of its Audit and Compliance Committee, a member of Risk Management Committee of Riyad Capital Co. and Chairman of Risk Management & Credit Committee of AJIL Financial Services Co.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Sciences from King Saud University, He has also completed advanced programs in Business Administration and Leadership at prestigious international institutions, underpinning his solid foundation in management and organizational practices.
