Riyad Bank won the Best Digital Banking Innovation of the Year Award in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the recent Banking Technology Awards ceremony which was held recently in Dubai. The award was presented by the Middle East and Africa Magazine to honor banks and technology companies that are fast in adopting the latest smart banking solutions to enhance growth opportunities.

In a bold move that is considered the first of its kind in the Saudi banking sector, Riyad Bank has launched its virtual location in the world of Metaverse, which in turn simulates the headquarters of the main administration of the bank in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), where the new digital branch serves as a nucleus for an entry into the world of augmented and virtual reality due to the future importance of these worlds at the economic and digital levels.

Under the auspices of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisa, the Top CEOs Award was held in its first edition, organized by the Okaz Foundation for Press and Publishing, in which His Excellency Mr. Tariq bin Abdulrahman Al-Sadhan was crowned with the Top CEOs award in the banking sector for the year 2022. It was received on his behalf by His Excellency Mr. Nayef Shalaby, Regional Director of Riyad Bank in the Western Region.
