Riyad Bank signs partnership agreement with Jeddah United Basketball Academy

Riyad Bank recently signed a partnership agreement with Jeddah United Academy to sponsor the first basketball team "Jeddah United" and "Riyadh United women's team", aims to contribute to raising the level of athletes and developing sports academies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to achieve one of the objectives of the quality of life program that is endeavors enhance the sports playing activities in the community.

<p>Riyad Bank recently signed a partnership agreement with Jeddah United Academy to sponsor the first basketball team "Jeddah United" and "Riyadh United women's team", aims to contribute to raising the level of athletes and developing sports academies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to achieve one of the objectives of the quality of life program that is endeavors enhance the sports playing activities in the community.</p><p>The agreement was signed by Mr. Khalid bin Walid Al Khudair, CXO at Riyad Bank, and Her Excellency Prof. Lina Khalid Almaeena, Executive Partner of Jeddah United Academy.</p><p>This partnership is in line with the objectives of The Saudi Vision 2030 and Riyad Bank's CSR strategy" Bukra" one of its objectives is to harness the Bank's potential to enhance its presence as an active development partner, contribute actively to achieving vision aspirations to empower Saudi women, and create the possibilities for them to demonstrate their skills as positive and effective element in the current social development movement in the Kingdom on the many aspects, also supporting her competitive capabilities in various fields.</p><p>The Academy aims to build a strong generation of soul and body, invest energy, time and effort, to benefit the youth and achieve its strategy, The Academy have achieved its community and competitive goals by age groups and technical levels for both girls and young boys, in line with the direction of the Ministry of Sports and its strategic objectives to increase the number of sports practitioners from 13% to 40%.</p><p>It is worth mentioning that Jeddah United team represented the Saudi Federation in the Arab Women's Club Championship outside the Kingdom, as the Academy received the certificate of academic classification (A) for private academies by the Leadership development Institute under the Ministry of Sport, for its role in spreading sports culture and promoting the ambition and goals of girls in the sports field, in addition Jeddah United has won fair play trophy while participating in the Arab Club Games For women's 2018, Jeddah United team has already provided the women's national basketball team with talented players and represented the team in the6th GCC Women's Sports Tournament 2019 in Kuwait, as well as the participation of The Riyadh United team in a training camp in Switzerland in 2020.</p>
